“I really enjoy coming out here. It’s a great vibe, good people, everybody’s down to earth, always have a good time keeping it real, hanging out with fam.”
“I definitely recommend Jibtopia Wake Park. It was a lot of fun.”
“I would recommend Jibtopia to any beginner, intermediate or expert in wakeboarding.”
I heard a lot of kids at my school talking about this place so I decided to check it out. It was even better than I could have expected. The rails were sick and everyone there was dope. I’ll be back.
My kids had been begging me to bring them out to your park. It was over an hour away so I wasn’t sure that was a good idea. This is one time I am glad I listened to my kids. I was worried about safety but everyone was very professional, they took great care in educating us and my kids had a great time. I recommend your park to anyone for a day with the family or even a birthday party like we had.
I love coming out here just cuz of the unique features, the unique atmosphere, and nowhere else do you have two different bi-level pools on the East Coast. The rails are sick, there’s great music and it’s always a good time.
“I have never had the privilege of camping lake front at a cable park. I wake up in the morning, look out the tent window, and see the kicker and rail a stones throw from me. The campsite is fantastic!”
“Best work staff EVER!”
“This place rocks. It’s clean, professional and has an extremely helpful staff…”
“Great wake park with a grassroots feel.”
“If you are thinking about heading over to Jibtopia to ride, work, hangout, or even just to see what it is all about, go!! You won’t ever want to leave. Myself and two of my buddies are in our early to mid 20’s and saw this post on the internet to come down to Semora, North Carolina to work for riding at Jibtopia, and were we ever glad we made the trip from Ontario, Canada to go hang with these guys and ride this next level wake park. The riding was the best riding I have ever experienced. The obstacles were all so well built and safe.”
“My name is Wesley Mark Jacobsen and I worked at Jibtopia for over two months this past summer. The plan was to only stay a month or so while I figured out my next move. As soon as I arrived I realized it was going be really hard to leave this wakeboarder paradise. The work/trade worked out really well. We were able to ride as much as our bodies could handle and the Jibtopia crew was more accommodating than a southern household. All of the amenities made it really cozy especially the outdoor showers and bar and grill. The RV’s and campers merely acted as a place to store our things and rest our heads for a couple hours each night. Otherwise, we were at the park or bar getting into some sort of trouble with employees, riders, and campers alike. The vibe at Jibtopia was really amazing, it really is like one big family. After staying there for a short few months I met more people than I can count of my fingers and toes that will be life long friends. If you’re looking for a amazing summer full of friends and shredding, don’t hesitate to call Jiptopia your home!”
“Hello my name is Oliver. I’m 22 years old and I’m from Denmark. I went to Jibtopia to do the work-trade thing in the beginning of August and for almost 2 months. It was a great opportunity and I had a lot of fun with it. Living in the campers with some other people doing the same thing was a great time. I got to meet some good new friends and got to ride a lot of wakeboarding. Many fun nights of hanging out in the bar of Jibtopia. Jibtopia is a very laid back place with even more laid back people. The crew will take you in as family. The work for me was mainly steering the cables, instructing riders and helping out in the kitchen. I think the work trade opportunity is great for anyone who wants to wakeboard at a cool 2.0 park with a lot of sweet rails and jibs. There is not much city around so if you don’t have a car, don’t expect to get to one every other day. On the other hand there is lots of fresh air, open sky and nature around. There is a bar right up the road and a Dollar General (convenient store) a little further down the road from that. So go do it and enjoy your time there.”
“Hi guys, I’m Niels. Last summer I made my way from Holland all the way over to Jibtopia in North Carolina. From the moment I arrived I knew this was going to be amazing, all the guys at jibtopia made me feel at home from moment one, and the park is truly a paradise for a jibber. They gave me the chance to be part of all of that. They offered me a place to stay and as much riding as I could handle. All I had to do is help out a little at the park. “Had to” soon became wanted to because, a great park with a great atmosphere is priceless. and that is what jibtopia is!”
“Name’s Evan Wolf from North Dakota. My older bro first informed me of this work trade opportunity. My home town is a place where you can only board 3 months a year with the nearest cable being 7 hours away, so I was stoked for this opportunity. When I flew into North Carolina they were kind enough to pick me up from the airport, right when I got to the jib I was kindly greeted with a cold beverage and a hell of a show from Alex and the canadians charging a step up ramp into the pool. It was everything i expected it to be but better. The “supervisor” Francisco Costa and the French-Canadian’s Julien and FX were kind enough to give me an entertaining first night. This place truly is paradise for a any passionate wakeboarder, just don’t forget to throw your old food out of the rv. Oh and a couple other things, you will get your ass kicked, you will learn new tricks, and you will learn how to chop wood like a man. Lastly, a keen taste for cheap booze will help.”
“Hi my name is Julien, I drove down to Jibtopia from Quebec with my friend Francois-Xavier during the month of May. From meeting new people, driving cable, helping the crew from Jibtopia on different types of handy jobs and also to have the opportunity to ride this park, my trip to Jibtopia was amazing. We stayed there for a month to be a part of the Jibtopia team. We stayed in campers right next to the lake. Waking up in the morning right next to the water was a really nice experience. I must say that the work/trade opportunity was awesome because we were able to spend some time working on one of the best wakeboarding facilities in the world! Wish I could of stayed there for the whole summer!”
“I am Judith, 24 years old and from Germany. This last summer I stayed for 2 months at Jibtopia working, riding and sharing some great memories with awesome people. The park is full of life and joy. Every day a bunch of locals come by as well as foreigners that stay for some days camping at the site or just to shred the unique setup for a couple of hours! Working didn’t feel too much like work because it included sitting in the sun, sending people over the water; sharing tips and stories about wakeboarding and encouraging guys and girls to try new tricks and seeing happy faces in the evening. There was no day like the other and none that didn’t put a smile on my face. My riding improved a lot and I got to know some people that I now call my friends. I am very thankful that I got to stay for some time at beautiful Jibtopia and I would always choose the same way!”
Hey I´m Francisco or Franko as they named me after a couple days in Jib cause Francisco was hard to pronounce haha I´m from Argentina and I spent the first three months of last summer in Jibtopia, Semora. The whole trip was unbelievable since the first emails with Clark. I couldn’t miss a chance like that for anything in the world so I left everything behind here, got my plane ticket and two months after I was flying all the way across the planet just to be able to ride more and see what that incredible cable was all about. What I found and lived there and the people I met was more than I could’ve ever imagined or asked for .. I instantly felt so comfortable surrounded by the most amazing people which for my surprise they were all the same age I am almost !! What can be better than hanging out at such an amazing cable in the middle of a really beautiful forest with such amazing persons who just built a place for the love of the sport and nothing else .. I gave my best, I wanted to, guys like Clark and Alex are people who truly understand the sport and they taught me a lot about it .. Now I know I´ll be back someday soon I hope, to see what they are up to and to help of course in everything I can too .. Being part of the crew we had there was something truly to be proud of .. Guys from other countries we were all living the same dream .. My friend Guido “G” came all the way from Argentina too a month after I got to the park and we shared that incredible experience together which was great cause I had someone else to let the people from here know how awesome living at that park was haha we´ll definitely be back and there is no need to say more about the place or the people there .. Casey, Claire, Andy, Patrick and the locals they all know how we feel about them and its definitely a place you have to visit someday if you get the chance … I’m sure it´s the only one of it´s kind .. it´s the wakeboarders/skaters paradise on earth haha nothing but peace and love for the sport and everything else you need to just enjoy the session !! all the rails and features you can ask for !! hahaha
Couldn’t be more thankful for everything!! You people really have to get your asses down there you´ll never regret it!!
